"A Dual Approach: Visual Appeal and Optimal Vibration — Right at the Heart of Stream Fishing.

In fast-flowing mountain streams where water rushes noisily, lures with subtle movements often go unnoticed by fish. That’s why in such environments, minnows that can perform attention-grabbing actions like fluttering and darting are the standard.

However, even flutter-type minnows have their weaknesses. Between each action—no matter how brief, even a fraction of a second—there is always a pause. This momentary stop in movement can cause wild trout, which were aggressively chasing the sharply moving lure, to suddenly turn away. In that instant of stillness, the fish instinctively perceive the lure as an unnatural foreign object they shouldn’t bite. It’s a common occurrence in the delicate game of stream fishing.

To overcome this challenge, we developed the Nel Mezzo 50FS—a minnow refined through extensive testing of trout reactions. It visually stimulates fish through twitching and jerking in the current, while during those fleeting pauses in action, it shimmers subtly, catching the flow of water and emitting lifelike vibrations. These "natural signals" prevent fish from rejecting it as a mere object.

Packed with features that stimulate both vision and the lateral line (vibration detection), this sinking minnow strikes the very core of our stream fishing strategy. That’s why we call it Nel Mezzo—“In the middle.”" - www.plat.co.jp
